Craig Hickman released the Kid Pix into the public domain in 1989:
[…] which annoyed the UO art department figureheads, who told him that the program was worth selling. Later, Hickman sold 100 copies of the program from home, where people would mail him $25 checks for a floppy disk copy.
This JS webapp re-implementation is just like the original Kid Pix.
Most of the tools support Shift (^) to enlarge. There are a handful of hidden tool features behind various modifier keys (⌘, ⌥, ⇧). The modifier keys can also be combined. Enjoy! 🙂
